was founded in Vienna in 1923. Its aim was to produce high quality books for children whose access to books was otherwise limited. Soon Jungbrunnen developed a clearly structured programme that has become increasingly varied and colourful. It has led the way in publishing well-written books on difficult topics. Many of its books have now become classics and are being read by a third generation of children.
