Jakob Arjouni

was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1964. He has published novels, plays, stories and radio plays and his work has been translated into over ten languages. His novel Happy Birthday, Türke! was filmed in 1991, and he was awarded the German Crime Novel Prize in 1992 for Ein Mann, ein Mord. His most recent book Idioten. Fünf Märchen was on the bestseller list for several months. He now spends most of his time in the south of France.
