Mirjam Pressler

was born in 1940 and lives near Munich. She has written numerous stories and novels. She received the German Youth Literature Prize for her work as a translator. Her most recent novel on the Beltz & Gelberg list, Wenn das Glück kommt was awarded the German Youth Literature Prize. It was translated into 12 languages.
