Verlag Carl Ueberreuter

was re-established in 1946, publishing classic fairy-tales, and books which have become modern classics, such as Erich Kästner’s Emil and the Detectives. Today this publishing house is the largest in Austria, with 150 new titles per year and a backlist of 800 titles. The publishing programme includes books for both children and adults, fiction and non-fiction. The Annette Beltz Verlag, which specialises in high-quality illustrated books for children, is part of this group.
